Does Yoghurts Boost Sex Drive In Men?

Well, we all know for sure that Red bulls gives you wings but what you don’t know is that yoghurts gives you bigger “cojones”.

A study by researchers in Massachusetts Institute of Technology meant to examine the effects of yoghurt on obesity showed that male mice that ate a diet supplemented with yoghurt grew larger testicles. Although previous research has shown that yoghurt could prevent age-related weight gain, researchers fed a group of mice a junk food diet—high in fat, and low in fibre and nutrients and a second group ate standard mouse food and another half of each group also received vanilla-flavoured yoghurt.

At the end of the study, the testicles of the mice that ate yoghurt were five percent heavier than those of the standard-diet group, and 15 percent heavier than the junk food group. The yogurt-eating mice inseminated their partners faster and produced more offspring.

Although not yet proven of its sexual effect on men, here are other health benefits of yoghurts;

Contains likely anti-cancer properties

Due to an improvement of the immune response, it is suggested that yoghurts consumption may be associated with a lower risk of Colorectal cancer. Although a deeper research is needed, it has been suggested that yoghurts may be associated with lower incidence of upper digestive tract cancer.

Reduces risk of high blood pressure
According to a study by university students in Spain, although using milk for the experiment they found out that low-fat dairy intake was associated with lower incidence of high blood pressure and would most likely have the same result with low-fat yoghurt.

Good for strong bones
Yoghurts help provide calcium required to build bones in children and also helps to prevent the loss of bone density that occurs naturally with adults or teenagers. It is also a good source of calcium and vitamin D also necessary for strong bones.

Helps to prevent yeast infections
There are suggestions that consuming yoghurt which contains the active strain of bacteria Lactobacillus, may help prevent a case of vaginal yeast infection.
Although not all yoghurt contains this active culture, more research is required to determine the best way to introduce lactobacillus into the body to reduce the risk of infection.

Do Nose Piercings Ruin First Appearances?

Nose piercing is a body piercing practice mostly associated with the Indian culture and fashion since classical times. It is found commonly in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Philippines and throughout South Asia.

With the spread and exposure of Indian fashion and culture, nostril piercing has become more popular in recent times in the wider world including Africa, South America, United States of America, the Caribbeans and Europe.

The tradition of getting parents’ approval or blessings before getting married makes the parents major decision makers for marriages. A typical Nigerian parent faces the dilemma of accepting a potential in-law with nose piercings, using the popular saying “Dress how you want to be addressed” as a reason.

An upset Twitter user came on the platform to share his friend’s experience with his Nigerian girlfriend who, despite all pleadings, refused to take off her nose-ring to meet with his parents for the first time.

This caused an uproar with lots of controversies on Twitter where young Nigerians shared their views on the subject matter. Lots of people shared the opinion that taking a lady home to meet the parents for the first time should be aimed at pleasing the parents and appearing right rather than being oneself.

This was due to the fact that a typical Nigerian parent only judges people based on the first appearance before listening to what a person has to say or before getting to know them. Others were of the opinion that showing your true personality is preferable when meeting the parents as it is only deceptive to try to appear to be someone else.

The question remains: what is your perception about ladies wearing nose rings and would you allow your child to marry someone who wears nose-rings?

Father’s Day: Fatherhood Truths No One Will Tell You

You wake up at 5:30 am to start on some official work before you hit the road to the office. Then your 11-month-old son rolls off onto your laptop instantly breaking the screen.

Your mind is split into two: you are seething, perhaps, boiling inside of you about the money you have to spend repairing the laptop. Then you are also concerned about your child’s well-being. If you are like me, you would want to check if the child is okay before grieving about your laptop. Your phones and iPad are additional victims of his tyranny.

Welcome to the world of fatherhood.

Seriously, the feeling you get watching your kids grow is incomparable. But, the gay feeling will always be punctuated by those moments that will make you wish for an emergency vacation. ALONE! Especially when you mistakenly step on a toy that sends you spiralling down to the floor. No, you can’t raise your hand to hit the toddler. And it becomes even a tad more annoying when the kid thinks it is funny. His or her laughter will make you mad momentarily, and in an instant, you are sitting there on your butt laughing out loud with him or her.

Then there are moments, you are lying on your stomach, in bed, on a Saturday afternoon, trying to catch some sleep before the rat race begins on Monday. Out of the blues comes a kid whose idea of a weekend fun sport is to jump on your back. He has no care about shattering your spine or you getting some beauty sleep.

It is worse if he sits on your face with a diaper full of shit. Your brain will be scarred for a week, but that’s a lot better than finding that ‘shitful’ diaper inside your backpack.

And talking about the backpack, there are times you will realise your bag contains NSFW (not in sexual terms) items only when you get to the office. Woe betide you if you ask someone to pick something from your bag. You will become the butt of the office joke.

There are times you have to sit down and ask yourself if truly you are the one paying the rent or the kid. Trust me, he understands the benefit of division of labour: he owns the house, you pay the rent. And don’t even think about fighting him for the remote when he is watching PJ Mask on Disney Junior and you want to watch a Champions League match. You’d better stream the match. There is a 90% chance that you will lose the fight. Even when you win, you will be quick to concede defeat because of deafening unending screeching.

You want him healthy always, but he wants to pick up stuff on the floor to eat. When you try to remove whatever he’s got in his mouth, your fingers will come out of his mouth looking like a victim of a train accident. And yes, he thinks that’s funny, too.

You are there thinking that you are ‘suffering’ because your kid is a boy, but when your neighbour visits you with her hyperactive daughter, you get the message. Girls can do the damage, to

When you put all these instances into proper perspective, you will have a lot to be thankful for. The day you come back from work and the sitting room is super neat, you will become instantly agitated: is he okay? If he’s truly sick, you will pray that he receives instant healing and become strong enough to ‘wreak havoc’ in the house.

Eyelash extensions should accentuate the eyes not annihilate them. Poorly fixed eyelash extensions make the eye look droopy and dull. To avoid making the eyelash look like the broken wings of a bird, here are mistakes to avoid:

It is natural to have eyelashes on all parts of the eyelid. Carefully measure the extensions to fit the length of the lid.

There are so many beauty salons that claim to offer a good service. If you don’t know how to do this yourself, use a professional that knows how to fix the extensions.

The glue used to fix the extensions can cause irritation.
To avoid this irritation, glue the extension on the natural lashes not on the edge of the eyelid. Give a 1millimetre gap and fix the eyelash extension to give a natural look.

Eyelash extension gives a beautiful and effortless transformation. Chose a natural look of this beauty accessory and you are good to go, without the hassle of extra makeup.

Do not use substandard products. They give a droopy and dull look. Use human hair lash extensions

4 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN’T SKIP BREAKFAST

You might have heard the popular statement that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. While this may not be entirely correct (scientists are still debating it), it may not be the ‘most important’ but certainly has its benefits.
Image result for breakfast
Nowadays, there are many companies and bloggers that preach that you need to skip breakfast to maintain a healthy weight, also, you might have seen a couple of your friends who live their lives without eating a proper meal in the morning seemingly doing just fine. But the question you may have is: ‘Is a proper breakfast really necessary?’.

The thing is based on research, there many arguments on both sides about the pros and cons of skipping breakfast, particularly for people who are trying to shed some weight.

In this article, we will be exploring 4 reasons why you should take breakfast.

1. Skipping Breakfast May Not Help You Lose Weight
People who have been promised that skipping breakfast may help with weight loss may be in for a big shock when the scale readings still stay up. The fact is that studies have shown that people who do not take breakfast may not shed any weight, also, if they stay physically inactive, they may even gain some weight instead of losing it.
You may be wondering how this is possible. Well, the truth is that skipping breakfast may make you take higher-calorie meals later in the day. You may make a quick semi-heavy brunch by quickly baking a small snack using your countertop oven then go ahead to cook a ‘proper lunch a few hours later. Afterall, the body needs an energy source for its daily activities. People who take meals in the morning also were found to have about the same calorie intake per day as those who do not take meals until later in the afternoon.

2. Your Hormones Need A Balance
Hormones are chemicals released by the body that act on organs or tissues that are located far from where it is released. You might have heard about one important hormone that regulates the blood sugar- insulin. Insulin with other hormones and growth factors work effectively in maintaining the amount of glucose present in the cells and bloodstream. Insulin helps the cells in our bodies take up glucose. Some studies have shown that skipping breakfast may upset this natural balance, and may cause long-term problems later on. For instance, diabetes mellitus develops if the amount of insulin secreted by the pancreas drops or if the body’s cells become resistant to the presence of insulin.

3. You Might Be Less Physically Active
When you wake up in the morning, your body would have been fasting for about 10-12 hours, so, if you choose to increase this fast by an extra 4-5 hours by skipping breakfast, you may not have enough energy to carry out adequate physical exercise. It is not uncommon to find people less productive or averse to exercise, just because they feel very weak when skipping breakfast. Eating a meal in the morning can help your body have some extra calories to provide enough energy to stimulate you to run, walk briskly or even use the staircase instead of elevator when at work.

4. Your Brain Needs Some Energy
Unlike some other organs in the body that can cope with an alternative source of energy like ketones, the brain requires glucose to work effectively. So, starving yourself off breakfast may deplete the amount of glucose available for your brain, making you feel dizzy, confused and very unproductive. Low blood glucose is a common reason why people faint and sometimes die.
Skipping breakfast should not be an option if a person has been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and is on medications to lower blood sugar.

How Often Do You Really Need To Change Your Bed Sheets?

Every week, there is a possibility that you spend between 49 to 63 hours in bed lying on those sheets. This leaves quite a lot of time for sweat, dirt, oil, makeup and other allergens to build up. Add all that up and one could get skin issues like those breakouts we hate, allergy symptoms and even fungal infections.

Sounds scary, right?
This is why it is very important to keep your sheets clean. But how often should you wash and change your bedding?

We all know that washing them too often may cause them to wear out and fade. But washing them too rarely can let all that dirt and allergens build up.

Well, there is no rule for how often to wash your sheets. But a good rule of thumb is to change them once a week. Or you can stretch that out to once in two weeks if you don’t sweat while you sleep.

Also, remember to have them washed once you have been sick to kill any lingering germs. You don’t want to give yourself a cold all over again.

Another tip, especially when you cannot wash your sheets every week, is to wash your pillowcases once a week. This is because your face is more likely to break out than other areas in your body. You can also ingest allergens like dust mites more easily through your nose and mouth.

When washing your sheets, use warm water and not hot water which can shrink the fibres in the fabric, making it easier for them to wear out. Also, make sure your sheets are completely dry before you store them, otherwise, mildew may form on them.

One last thing to note is that not every single thing on your bed needs to be washed often. Duvet covers should be washed once a month. Pillows, comforters and blankets should be washed only a few times a year. You can wash them once every three months. Wash these items delicately and make sure to rinse properly to get all the soap out.

Eight Ways To Deal With Skin Breakouts (Pimples)

Pimples – we all get them and we all hate them. You might think because you’re grown up and have left puberty behind, you can’t get breakouts, but you still can!

So what causes them?
It is mainly the overproduction of oil-blocked hair follicles that don’t allow the oil to leave the pore, often resulting in a clogged pore. With a clogged pore, bacteria grows and leads to nasty pimples. Another reason you could be breaking out due to changes in your hormone levels, like menopause or stopping birth control pills.

Don’t fret! Acne doesn’t get to ruin your skin or your life. Here are eight steps you can take to turn your skin around at any age:

Keep your face clean
Whether or not you have acne, it’s important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells and extra oil from your skin’s surface. Use warm water and a mild facial cleanser such as the Beauty Formulas Activated Charcoal Face Cleanser.

Beauty Formulas Activated Charcoal Face Cleanser. Photo: Amazon

Moisturise
When buying moisturisers, look for “non-comedogenic” on the label, which means it will not cause acne. There are moisturisers made for oily, dry or combination skin. A good moisturiser for oily or acne prone skin is the Mary Kay TimeWise Combination/Oily Skin Age-Fighting Moisturiser.

Try using spot treatments
These acne products don’t need a prescription. Most of them have ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid or lactic acid, which curb bacteria and dry your skin. A great spot treatment is the Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment with Benzoyl Peroxide.

Wear a sunscreen with zinc oxide
Wear sunscreen on your face 15 minutes before you go outside. The sunscreen will protect your skin from the sun and the zinc can kill bacteria that might contribute to your acne. Our favourite sunscreen is the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer® Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 100+. It doesn’t leave a grey cast on darker skin tones.

Cut out or reduce the sugar and simple carbohydrates in your diet
These make your blood sugar spike which triggers insulin production. Insulin production also leads to oil production which can clog up your pores.

Reduce stress
While stress itself does not actually cause acne, it can lead to a more noticeable breakout. Find relaxing things to do on a regular basis. Meditation, exercise, reading or learning a new skill are great things to add to your schedule and might keep the breakouts at bay.

Clean your brushes regularly
Makeup brushes and applicators should be cleaned at least once per week. These tools harbour bacteria and yeast, which can infect and irritate your skin.

Consult a medical professional
If over-the-counter treatments are not enough, you may need to go to a medical professional, such as your general practitioner or dermatologist. Dermatologists are experts in treating skin conditions and can also be helpful in coming up with the right treatment for you.

WHERE YOU DO BELONG.

The human soul comprises the mind, will and emotions and this has made us quite intense as creatures when it comes to relationships and connections. Based on our mind, our will and emotions, all humans have three dimensional relationships – first with your maker, second, with others and third, with yourself and these relationships can be quite complex, confusing and unstable. Your choices, decisions, attitude, behavior, responses and reactions in life everyday are all influenced by the very complex interaction and behaviors of your mind, your will and your emotions with these three relationship dimensions.

Ultimately, your results and consequences are determined by all these relationships and interactions. What this simply means is that you are more in charge of your results in life than external factors. These relationships are managed from inside out, hence your success is from inside out, your happiness is from inside out, and your safety is from inside out.

The way your mind, emotions and will react and responds in life will determine your success, your happiness and accomplishment in the long run.

For example you can never be heartbroken or rejected by someone you were never emotionally involved with or in love with. It requires you permitting your mind, emotions and will to fall in love with someone first, for that person to have the power to break your heart. So your heartbreak didn’t come from a lousy lover, it originated from you first in granting permission to your soul to fall in love with the heart breaker. Meaning your happiness is a matter of what you permit, allow or consent to. So it is with your success and accomplishments in life. Everything originates from the depth of your soul.

Many of us are not accomplishing much or recording glowing results in life because our souls are not provided the right place and conditions for progressive and productive growth. Our souls are childish even though we are physically mature and old.

I remember growing up, we had this guava tree close to an external tap in the backyard of the apartment where I grew up in. Every day we washed, cleaned and used so much water from this tap close to this guava tree, but for over 10 years, not once did anyone reap or enjoy a single guava fruit from this healthy looking guava tree. And when I asked my Mum why, she told me in Yoruba dialect that the guava tree was a masculine one, it lacked the ability to produce fruit even though it was in a conducive zone – a place where it had enough water so as to grow.

Ladies and gentlemen, the true evidence that a tree is healthy and useful is not in its ability to grow physically, look green and lush alone, it’s actually in its ability to bear fruits. No matter how big, beautiful and healthy a fruit bearing tree is, without bearing fruits, it is useless and very soon it would be cut off and used for fire wood.

In fact the bigger a non-productive fruit bearing tree grows, the higher the tendency it’ll be cut down and used to serve other purposes very soon.

Ladies and gentlemen, beyond growing physically, how well is your soul growing? Your life cannot prosper in superior dimensions to your soul. Physical growth occurs in the body but productive growth occurs at the level of the soul.

Physical growth is external, soul growth is internal. Soul growth is evident by the fruit it bears not by how good it looks. This means your beautifully toned skin, your expensive hair extension, your make up, your six packs, your designer wears, lovely shoes, bags, jewelry and physical possessions is no prove that your soul is growing.

Do not be deceived my friend, there will be a season in your life when you will physically look attractive and promising, hence a lot of people that come across you will give you stuff, offer you freebees and take care of your physical needs because of your physical appeal, hence you will look so good on the outside, but after a while, if your soul refuses to grow and your body continues to age, your benefactors will move on and all you’ve gained or acquire from them will fade, and be gone. At that time, you will realize being productive – an outcome of soul growth, is superior to being attractive, an outcome of physical appearance.

My dear friend ladies and gentlemen, is your soul growing? Yes, your body is growing, you look very nice, fancy, classy, appealing, sexy and attractive but is your soul growing?

If you’re not sure of your answer let me help you. The number one evidence of growth in your soul is increasing selflessness. All men are naturally selfish by default, when they begin to grow and mature in their soul however, they become selfless and sacrificing. They begin to focus on the needs of others, the needs of the community, the needs of the society and they become passionate about doing something about it, no matter what it costs them. This is called true love, something the maker demands of everyone.

A mind, an emotion and a thinking fixated on doing something about the ills, problems, challenges and issues confronting others and the society is a growing soul. A mind fixated on the need, want and comfort of oneself is a childish soul.

A growing soul thinks solution, a childish soul thinks personal needs and comfort.

A soul desperate for growth is very willing to walk out of its comfort zone, knowing fully well that souls don’t grow at comfort zones. Nothing great grows at comfort zones. A childish soul is that soul desperate to hold on to its comfort zone. Great thinking never occurs at comfort zones, creativity is difficult in comfort zones, innovation is scarce in comfort zones, and freedom is never present at comfort zones. A mature soul rejects the comfort zone, a childish soul craves the comfort zone.

A childish soul abhors difficulties and adversity, it lacks the will power to overcome challenges and difficulties hence, always fleeing when there’s discomfort instead of facing the challenges and solving the problem. A weak, childish soul is that one desperate to run away to the US, UK or Canada for uninterrupted power supply and pipe borne water; not interested in collaborating with others to confront the problems of Nigeria, fight the troublers of Nigeria and create a Nigeria we all desire. A childish soul loves the wakanda movie but is unwilling to build a wakanda nation for real.

I encourage all those mature enough to stay and fight and speak truth to power to keep on keeping on as very soon, you shall see great results and you shall be celebrated, respected, honored and glorified as a great fighter not a coward. We shall see the great reward of the temporary discomfort and sacrifice, and I’d like to remind all the childish souls; fleeing, stealing, cheating, defrauding, scamming and exchanging gender favours for money, for cars and luxury you can’t retain or maintain, – Nothing grows in your comfort zone. What your soul lacks, your scam and runs cannot retain, all the show and pepper them shall pass sooner than you imagine. Don’t just show yourself, grow your soul.

FOR MEN: Skin Care Tips For Men In Their 30s And Above

Ageing comes with a lot of signs that we are not happy with. However, while we cannot necessarily do anything to them, there are certain things we can keep doing or stop doing to ensure that we age gracefully.
Image result for MEN OF 30S
Quit smoking
This already states what literally every man already knows, smoking is bad for your skin. There are a lot of chemicals in cigarettes known as toxins that do nothing but harm the skin, not to mention things like cancer, heart disease among others. However, if you smoke, it’s probably time to quit before signs of ageing start to dig in.

Regular exercise
You can never overestimate the power of exercising. Working out not only keeps you fit but also gives you that youthful glow even in your 30s.
Exercise is one of the secrets to youth. It really doesn’t have to be incessant exercising; as little as walking 20 to 30 minutes a day may seem small but it does a lot more than you can imagine from increasing blood flow to detoxification.

Hydrate as much as you can
Now, you probably knew this and have heard it millions of times, but probably didn’t know the benefit of it. Water is an element that keeps your skin elastic and gives your face an appealing glow. This is why most men look healthy and fleshy even after their 30’s. Do not use cleansers that deprive your skin of important or essential oils.

Lips also get old
You probably didn’t know this, but your lips age with time. The fine lines you notice on your lips when you look closely in the mirror are because of your lips ageing. Unfortunately, men do not have the advantage women have with being able to cover these skin pet peeves with makeup. Applying lip balm does the job.

A medical practitioner warned women against the use of artificial eyelashes

A medical practitioner, Dr Ayopo Adeyemi, on Sunday warned women against the use of artificial eyelashes, commonly used to enhance beauty, in view of its grievous consequences.
Image result for Eyelashes
Adeyemi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the health implications of fixing false eyelashes included corneal abrasions or ulcers, damage of the natural eyelashes, eye sensitivity, amongst others.

She said fixing of artificial eyelashes had become an increasingly popular trend in the fashion world as most ladies, regardless of the health implications, seek perfection and glamour.
According to her, natural eyelashes had its natural way of preventing dirt, sweat, bacteria and other foreign materials from entering into the eye by trapping and keeping out anything that comes near.
Adeyemi, a practitioner at Mushin General Hospital, Lagos, said false eyelashes would accommodate the dirt, thereby causing different forms of allergy and infections.
“The use of harmful chemicals on the eyelashes can cause them to fall out quicker than they naturally would and it is also dangerous when tools to be used come in close proximity to the eye.
“Artificial eyelashes can cause trauma to the eye either through the glue and other materials used or unprofessional operators; there could be introduction of microbes into the eye causing conjunctivitis of all types.
“The lashes themselves can cause allergic conjunctivitis trapping and retaining dirt around the eye,” she said.Adeyemi advised ladies to minimise the rate at which they fix false eyelashes if they must retain healthy natural ones.

Popular actor, Odunlade Adekola, has addressed reports stating he was an absentee and bought certificate while studying at University of Lagos.

Speaking with Punch on why he went back to school and his experience, the actor stated that he had to humble himself to learn despite his celebrity status.

According to him, contrary to reports, he participated in lectures, assignments and did not buy his certificate.

“Being in school was a really thrilling experience for me. I was humbled in the sense that I had to attend classes, do assignments, sit for exams and carry out other academic activities”, he said.

“I had a good relationship with all the lecturers that taught me and the students too. There was nothing like celebrity status.

“I attended classes regularly and I did everything I was required to do. My course mates can testify. I was not a stranger to any of my course mates because I usually attended classes.

10 Ways To Avoid Vaginal Infections

First of all, there are things that increase your chances of getting one, and they are: diabetes, a weak immune system, antibiotics, using birth control, douching or using perfumed vaginal products, pregnancy, and having multiple sexual partners.

Although it may not be possible to prevent these infections for all women, there are certain things you can do to lower your risk. They are:

1. Stay dry. Wear breathable underwear like those made of cotton as they will keep you dry. Also change out of wet clothes, a wet swimsuit after swimming, or gym clothes after working out.

2. Give your vagina room to breathe. Switch to looser-fitting underwear. Tight trousers and underwear will increase the amount of moisture around your private parts and that increases your chances of having an infection.

3. Don’t douche. “Feminine hygiene products” like douches and feminine wash can disrupt the balance of bacteria in your vagina by removing some of the good bacteria that is supposed to be there to fight off infections. Also avoid scented feminine products: bubble baths, tampons, pads, sprays, and soaps. Washing the pubic region regularly with clean water alone is enough to keep the vagina clean. Keep your vaginal area dry, especially after a shower.

4. Avoid using hot tubs or taking extra hot baths. That heat is not good for your vagina, especially when coupled with dampness.

5. Always wipe from front to back after using the bathroom. Wiping from back to front will mobilise bad bacteria from your anus to your vagina.

6. Change sanitary towels often. When on your period, be sure to change your tampons, pads, and panty liners often. Try not to use one for more than 8 hours.

7. Watch your blood sugar. If you have diabetes, be sure to keep an eye on your blood sugar levels and keep them under control.

8. Practise safe sex. Do not keep multiple sexual partners. Condoms do not only prevent pregnancy, they also prevent infections and reinfection. You never know how many sexual partners your sole lover has. If you are diagnosed with an infection, your sex partner should also be checked. He or she may have other sexually transmitted diseases and also may re-infect you if not treated.

9. Pregnant women should see their doctor immediately if they are experiencing symptoms.

10. Use antibiotics only when you have to. When being treated for an infection, make sure to take your drugs religiously and finish them, even if you feel better after a few days. Vaginal infections can come back and they could come back worse than before.

Ensure to see your doctor the moment you experience a change in vaginal discharge (quantity or odour), if you start to itch or feel any discomfort when you pee, or any other symptoms that are not normal. There is no need to panic. The earlier this is handled, the better.

10 Tips To Stay Healthy This Ramadan

When observing Ramadan, it is important, especially for busy professionals, to maintain healthy, nutritious eating habits. The ninth month in the Islamic calendar, Ramadan, is a month of fasting observed by Muslims.
Here are ten tips to help you stay fit and healthy during this holy month:

1. Don’t skip ‘sahur’
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In the same way, the meal that is eaten before dawn, sahur, is essential during Ramadan. The meal fuels your body and helps your body stay hydrated until your next meal at ‘iftar’. It will also keep you from overeating when you break your fast at sunset.

2. Balanced meals only
Let your meal at sahur be well-balanced. It should contain complex, slow-releasing carbohydrates like oats, wheat or lentils that will give you a feeling of fullness for the rest of the day and keep your blood sugar steady. The meal should also be high in fibre (cereals, fruits and vegetables), and proteins (eggs, meat, yoghurt and cheese) to keep you hydrated and energised throughout the day.

3. Don’t overindulge
It is very tempting to overindulge in all the foods you may have been craving during the day, but it is important to break your fast slowly. Start with some water and a few dates, which are a good source of energy for the body and help secrete digestive enzymes in preparation for your main meal, which you can eat after waiting a while. Let your main meal contain a lot of vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates. Avoid fats and heavy oils. Make sure you eat your meal slowly to give your body time to digest the food.

4. Soups are good!
Thin soups should be a regular food on your iftar meals. They are easy to make, warm and soothing to the stomach. They are also a great source of fluids, vitamins and minerals. You can add colourful vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers and fresh herbs. Also, limit the amount of salt and oil you use to prepare them.

5. Stay hydrated
Drink a lot of fluids between the period of iftar and suhoor. This will help you stay hydrated during your fast. Although milk, soup and juices are sources of fluids, water is the best choice. Make sure to drink at least 8 cups of water every day and consume other drinks in moderation.

6. Avoid caffeinated drinks
Caffeine is a diuretic. What this means is that it stimulates faster loss of water and that leads to dehydration. Avoid caffeinated drinks like strong tea, cola or coffee, or drink them in moderation.

7. Cut down on processed, fatty and sugary foods
Heavily processed foods that contain refined carbohydrates like white flour and sugar are high in fat and low in nutrients. They should be avoided during Ramadan as your body needs all the nutrients it can possibly get.

8. Avoid deep frying
Try your best to avoid fried foods or those prepared with large quantities of oil. If you cannot avoid frying the food, you can reduce the quantity of oil used or use monosaturated fats like sunflower oil, canola oil and corn oil. We do not recommend olive oil for frying foods.

9. Avoid working out while fasting
It is best to leave your working out until after the fasting hours. This is to avoid dehydration. We suggest that you work out after iftar when you can rehydrate as often as possible and your energy levels are up. Before you begin your exercise session, give your body enough time (about two to three hours) to digest the food properly. Don’t forget to hydrate throughout your workout and drink a lot of water afterwards. Staying hydrated is important during exercise as water regulates the body temperature, lubricates the joints and transports nutrients throughout the body.

10. Consult your doctor if you have a physical condition
Before Ramadan, older Muslims, pregnant women, children, individuals taking medication and others with medical conditions should consult their doctors and adapt their fasting to the advice given.

FOR MEN, 5 Ways To Remain Physically Attractive As A Man

Study and experience has told me that if you ask a woman "what do you want in our marriage/relationship"? Most often, you will get a big lie. Fat lie. If you follow what she says bumper to bumper.... It will end in pain.
But men has observed and documented what keeps women happy.

1- Be a man. Be bold, be confident, be courageous... Put her in her place without flinching. She knows when she gets out of line and she expect it. If you don't do this, you're sowing the seed of future disrespect. Funny enough it can turn her on.

2- Remain physically attractive. A woman wants a man that can cheat on her anytime with his choice of woman, but make the choice not to.... So that he will be faithful to her... She wants to see the jealousy and lust in the eyes of other women when they see you guys together. That makes her feel she has a high value man.

3- make money... Make more money.. I don't think I have to explain this.

4- When she says, "baby, look at my new hair" stop what you're doing for 30seconds and pay attention, give compliments. She's looking beautiful for you.... No matter what she tells herself.

5- Never argue with her.. Ever! She wins by default because she succeeded in dragging you into it. Never allow it. If she wants to insist, leave the room. Sometimes, she wants to argue with you... Because it's the only way she can get your full attention.
