Arsenal has released midfielder, Santi Cazorla after six years with the club.
The 33-year-old joined the North London club from Malaga in 2012.
The Spain international won two FA Cups with the Gunners and scored an exquisite free-kick in the 2014 cup final win against Hull City.
The midfielder has been sidelined for the last 18 months with an Achilles injury and the Gunners have decided against handing the former Villarreal star a new deal.
Confirming the exits of Cazorla on Monday, Arsenal chief, Ivan Gazidis told the club’s official website, “Santi is always one of my favourite players to watch. His natural ability with both feet, his speed of thought and movement were central to our best performances in recent years.
“He plays with a joy and freedom which is very rare. We wish him well for the future and thank him for his important contribution to our club.”
