According to German outlet, BILD, Ozil has been convinced by the Gunners’ ambition, after they smashed their transfer record to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Ozil, whose current deal runs out in June this year has been in negotiations for months over a new deal and will earn €350,000-per-week.
It will make him the highest-paid player in Arsenal’s history.
The 29-year-old, who is set to marry fiancee Amine Gülse after this summer’s World Cup in Russia, recently purchased a dream house for €11m in North London.
