Chelsea have completed the signing of defender, Emerson Palmieri from Roma.
Emerson, on Tuesday evening agreed a £25million transfer move to Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old left-back underwent several medical tests before putting pen to paper to join the Premier league champions.
The Blues were also keen on landing Emerson’s team-mate, Edin Dzeko, but Antonio Conte confirmed that a move for the Bosnian striker had collapsed over his high wage demands.
Emerson has been handed the No.33 shirt at Chelsea most recently won by Mitchell Beeney, Tomas Kalas and Alex.
Speaking to reporters after completing Chelsea move, Emerson said: “I came here because it’s a great team with a great history.
“Today, I am realising one of my dreams to put on the shirt of such a great club.
“English football is something I have been watching since I was 15 years old. It is a really beautiful game over here but it is going to be even more beautiful to play it.”
