Kiss Daniel speaks on promoting unconsented sex

Sensational singer, Kiss Daniel has reacted to claims that his hit song ‘Yeba’ is promoting sexual assault.

Over the weekend, there were reports flying around that Yeba released a song that supports rape.

However, the singer on Saturday via his twitter page said the song contrary to reports advised men to yield to a lady’s refusal of sex rather than force her.

According to him, the song teaches young ladies to speak up against unconsented sex.

He wrote “The song teaches our ladies to speak out against what they haven’t consented to and for men o realise that if a lady says No, it means No to sex.

“Apologise and don’t go further, hence the reply by the guy…’sorry madam.’‎

“The fact that a lady agrees to dance with you doesn’t translate to sexual consent.”

Tonto Dikeh turns preacher, talks about sins, repentance[PHOTO]

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she is now born again, saying the bad things she did in the past, will remain in the past.
Tonto, who recently underwent plastic surgery to fix some parts of her body, preached as though she has become a pastor.
The mother of one took to her Instagram account on Thursday morning and wrote: “An Entirely New Life! Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
“The term “born again” isn’t a religious cliché, which connotes turning over a new leaf. When you ask some Christians how they know they’re born again, some would reply: I know I’m born again, because the bad things I used to do, I do them no more. I’ve changed my ways, and now, I behave differently.
“Being born again is much more than that. What you receive when you’re born again is an entirely new life. There’s no such thing as “The bad things I used to do, I do them no more,” because the person who did those things is dead. He doesn’t exist anymore.
“When you received Christ into your life, something actually happened: your spirit was recreated. You were born of the Word of God and of the Spirit of God. You now have the life, nature and character of God. And when a man has the life, nature and character of God, he can only live like God. So, being born again is actually receiving the God-nature; becoming an associate of the God-kind.
“Romans 6:6 says, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Your old life or nature isn’t suspended; it’s dead; you’ve come up a new man; a new species of being; one that never existed before; one without a past. In the presence of God, everything you were before you were born again, and everything you did before you were born again has no record. This isn’t a promise. This is a statement of fact in the Word.
“If you’re ignorant of this, you could be struggling with your past or with the sins you committed before you were born again. This, invariably, could make you ineffective in the things of God. No; you’re not a sinner. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, because you’re born again (2 Corinthians 5:21). Walk in the consciousness of your righteousness, and new life in Christ: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father.”

Mercy Aigbe admits hiring lady’s wedding gown for birthday party

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has finally spoken on controversies surrounding her birthday dress.
An aggrieved bride @rettypety, whose wedding was scheduled for 29th December 2017 had called out her designer, Maryam Elisha (@rikaotobyme) for giving out a gown meant for her wedding to the Nollywood actress for her 40th birthday photos.
The actress in a post via her Instagram page @realmercy said she had no idea the dress was for a bride as her stylist was responsible for the dress.
She wrote: “I have followed events as they unfold following a particular dress I wore for a photoshoot. First, I must say that I sincerely sympathise with the bride as this situation is painful, unfortunate and regrettably avoidable.
“I hired and paid Seun @styledbyseun for the photoshoot as a stylist and got four dresses for the shoot. Seun and I were unaware that one of the dresses was meant for someone else. I am embarrassed that the designer was not professional enough in handling events leading to this moment. It is also painful that a bride is made to go through what the bride has been made to go through.
“I have reached out to both the stylist and designer (whom I have never met nor HIRED directly) to express my displeasure.
“I have instructed my lawyer to look into this and see how best to approach this from a legal point of view without festering an already open wound.”

Against the ever-mounting odds that threaten to put out that light they keep believing. I know your desperation. I have been there and have been fortunate enough to come through, so this to encourage you to hang in there.
This song is for you – whoever you are, if you’ve have tried and failed so many times and teetered on the edge of giving up but just cannot bring yourself to do so.

How Baba Keke advised me to save my sperm – Eedris Abdulkareem

Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has revealed how Kenny Ogungbe, a.k.a Baba Keke, advised him not to sleep around with women and waste his sperm.
The singer opened up to Punch on how Baba Keke helped to shape his life.
He said, “My wedding day was a very lavish one and Baba Keke was my best man.
“I chose Baba Keke to be my best man because he has always been like the father I never had. I lost my father when I was only three years old. When I was still at Kennis Music, I went to collect my royalties when I met Baba Keke and he called me aside to give me a piece of advice.
“He told me that he really loved me and that was why he was advising me. He told me that I should make sure I got married as soon as possible. He advised me to ensure that I married only one woman and I should not let any woman other than my wife bear children for me. I agreed with him.
“He further told me to make sure I did not waste my sperm on different women. He told me to settle down and be a responsible man. That advice has helped shaped my life since then. A lot of girls I dated at the time were not happy with my choice of wife but I was happy about it.
“In fact, I intentionally avoided throwing a bachelor party because I knew something could happen that night that would ruin my marriage. After we got married, we went on a honeymoon and my wife got pregnant a month later.”

Catholic Group Condemns The Jay-Z “Family Feud” Video

Even though it has just been a few days, Jay-Z has made us wait forever for his highly-sought for video, Family Feud.

The eight-minute video, which made former president Obama’s list of favourite songs of 2017, addresses different subjects including his infidelity.
The star-studded song features Michael B. Jordan, Jessica Chastain, Constance Wu, Rosario Dawson, Blue Ivy (His daughter), Beyonce, Rashida Jones.
However, the Catholic League for Civil and Religious Rights criticised the video for its “bigoted assault” while claiming that “a video trailer is supposed to be a teaser, but in this case it falls flat, leading nowhere”, Bill Donohue, the president of the group wrote.
He described Jay-Z’s lyrics as “relentlessly racist”…”But it is nonetheless gratuitous as well as exploitative, just the kind of thing we would expect from this genius couple”, he continued.
Although the group is unofficially connected with the Catholic church, it says that its mission is to defend the church when “slanderous assaults” are made.

Nigerians slam Mercy Aigbe over controversial birthday outfit

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has come under attack over her birthday outfit, which was shared on Instagram.
An aggrieved bride @rettypety, whose wedding was scheduled for 29th December 2017 had called out her designer, Maryam Elisha (@rikaotobyme) for giving out a gown meant for her wedding to the Nollywood actress for her 40th birthday photos.
This generated reactions from Nigerians as some called on the actress to take down the picture and apologise to the bride, while others rained insults on her.
However, some in support of the actress said the designer should be blamed as Mercy may not be aware of circumstance.
Here are some comments:
@ifeanyi “I don’t know how Mercy Aigbe feels, finding out that the dress she allegedly borrowed from a tailor for her 40th birthday photo was actually an innocent girl’s wedding dress and that the tailor had lied to the girl that her dress wasn’t ready. Why are tailors this wicked?
@ali “Not just the careless tailor! Mercy Aigbe deserves the dragging for working with a promise & fail tailor. A woman of her class!!
@clintonvice “The tailor/designer sold someone else’s dress cos mercy aigbe probably offered to pay more.In the process ruining another’s special day.. Loyalty is very rare
@platinumb “If Mercy Aigbe has any integrity she will take the photos down sha. A birthday shoot cannot be more important than your reputation. Even if she didn’t know before, she does now. Remove yourself from the situation.
@oneme “I really don’t understand what Mercy Aigbe’s fault is in this tailor matter. Being a celebrity is both a gift and a curse.
@omeyimi “The painful thing is that Mercy Aigbe might not have known about it but Nigerians are dragging her instead of the designer
@ogbeniopa “I don’t know why y’all are directing insults to Mercy Aigbe instead of d uncultured swine tailor. The painful part was, the tailor didn’t respect ownership of a Bride’s cloth on HER wedding day ffs.
@emperorgwill “please now that she knows the background of the dress the honorable thing to do is take down the pic and apologize to the bride…has she done any of this so far! The ans is fat NO…so please allow us keep talking till it enters her head..
@sketchmac “The designer is a crook,, if there’s any one to be sued or arrested it should be the designer
@yoonieg “You guys… I think if this whole story is true, the one at fault would be the designer. Its obvious @realmercyaigbe can afford any kind of clothe she wants so I believe she must have paid the designer aswell. Let’s not insult her abeg.
@bilkisu “You should take down these pictures. Its not proper since you know the history behind this dress. This is so unfair. If you have a heart you should do the needful
@azizlaura “You guys should stop bad mouthing mercy, it’s d designers fault and not hers
@shilperry “Blame goes to the designer not mercy…she should just apologies to the bride
@becky “There is a possibility that the designer told mercy it’s for someone else and she insisted on buying it x2 of the original price…… both of them are fully involve in this! God have mercy
@kaysmalz “Mercy may not have been in the know but the fact she still kept the dress and still has this post up means she’s just as guilty as the tailor Smh!

I did not snatch Joke Silva from another man – Olu Jacobs

Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs, has refuted claims that he snatched his wife of many years, Joke Silva, from another man
The actor, while speaking with Sun, said he struggled to get his wife and never snatched her from anyone as claimed in some quarters.
He said, “That is very wrong. I was invited to come and do a play in Nigeria by the National Theatre. I was living in England at that time. I was to play lead in Wole Soyinka’s The Trials of Brother Jero. We were having the production when the door opened and this lady walked in and said sorry, we are ready.
“When she walked in, ‘I said excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, this is the lady I am going to marry.’ You know bodies can attract and bodies can repel. I saw her and I was attracted.
“I am not an impulsive person. I did not just say come. I had to struggle to get her. She was stunned even though she gave me up and down.
When asked on high rate of divorce in Nollwood, Olu Jacobs said it is not unique to the acting profession, adding that people tend to know more about actors’ failed marriages because they are in the public.
According to him, tenderness, patience, grace of God and friendship are the secrets to a successful marriage
“No, quite frankly, let me tell you what. I don’t encourage people to think that way. It is virtually in all professions, in all offices wherever you have women and men together.
“Even if you don’t hear it, we have a lot of divorces in all other sectors. For the fact that you don’t hear it in other sectors like banking or in the oil sector, as oily as it is, does not mean it is not happening. It is in all offices where we have men and women.
“Tenderness, patience, grace of God and friendship are the secrets to a successful marriage,” he added

Why I performed with Don Jazzy, Mo’hits crew -Dbanj

The Mo’Hits crew comprising of Don Jazzy, D’Banj, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, K-Switch, Ikechukwu and D’Prince split in 2012 over several internal disagreements.
Dbanj’s Mananager Frank told Punch, “Let us not get things twisted, not a dime exchanged hands for any reason. The entire performance was not motivated by money at all.
“It was Davido’s initiative, he wanted it to happen at his show so he went for it and he got what he wanted. He spoke to all of the former Mo’Hits crew members individually, they saw his point and they granted his request.
” Davido is a good kid, he spoke to every member of the Mo’Hits crew. He thought about having a Mo’Hits reunion at his show and he got it.
“It was an exciting show and D’banj loved the performance. He wanted the Mo’Hits crew to perform at his show because they were people he looked up to before his career started.
“He made a request and they all agreed that it could be done. Before the performance, everybody was backstage having fun and when they were through with the performance, they all went to the green room and the atmosphere was a lovely one.
“I was there with them and if you had the opportunity to have seen them bond, you would not have even believe that they ever broke up. There was no awkwardness at all. It was the same ambiance that surrounded them when they were still Mo’Hits.”

Why youths shun public office – Comedian, I Go Dye

Francis Agoda, popularly known as I Go Dye, has again spoken about corruption in Nigeria.
The comedian, at an award tagged “Making a Difference Against Corruption Today”, said the level of corruption seen by youths and suffering of pensioners are reasons most don’t go to public office or service.
He said “I want to once again remind us that the issue of corruption witnessed against pensioners is the highest form of ill-treatment against humanity; denying them their benefits is unimaginable in a society like ours that has no social welfare package for elderly people.
“We all should speak out now for their comfort, because this is part of the reasons young people hate public service, and when they get employment, they see it as a means to steal public funds in order to preserve them against foreseeable situations facing pensioners across the nation.
“May God bless Nigeria and keep all the pensioners alive, to eat the fruits of their labour”.
Recall that I Go Dye recently confronted former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar for using the Nigerian youth as a motive to drive his campaign for the presidential seat ahead of the 2019 elections.
