AC Milan manager, Gennaro Gattuso, has reacted to his side’s defeat to Arsenal in the Europa League round of 16 clash on Thursday.
Arsenal forward, Welbeck was awarded a controversial penalty that led to the Gunners’ first goal.
Replay showed that the England forward had dived. The Italian manager said the first goal demoralised his players.
AC Milan lost the first leg 2-1 at the San Siro meaning Arsenal entered the quarter final 5-1 on aggregate.
Gattuso said, “In the same way a player can make a mistake, a referee can do a mistake.
“Even myself when I was a player, I would take advantage of individual situations.
“I’m not going to judge these things. Their first goal was decisive.”
